A crowd of citizens of Georgia set the effigy of incumbent President Mikhail Saakashvili on fire in front of the parliament building. The people wanted the the authorities to fulfill their obligations, GeorgiaTimes wrote.

The flames also engulfed the effigy of the candidate for president from United National Movement, the leader of the parliamentary minority, David Bakradze, as well as photographs of representatives of national movements and those who held political positions under the previous government.
