A group of Russian tourists disappeared in the mountains of Pakistan. Executive director of the Russian Mountaineering Federation, Alexey Ovchinnikov, said that the communication with the tourists was lost on Sunday morning. The group consists of six Russian and several Latvian citizens.

The climbers had been warned of the dangers of staying in the area after the terrorist attack on the tent camp at Mount Nanga Parbat. The tourists promised to return to the camp.

Shortly before that, another group of nine Russian tourists, who were staying near the scene of the terrorist attack, was safely evacuated to Islamabad.
