Swedish producer studio Yellow Bird has started filming the TV series, the plot of which is based on the Russian occupation of Norway, Deadline.com reports.

The script for the ten-episode series titled "Occupied" is based on the works of the popular Norwegian writer Jo Nesbo. The plot of the film takes place in the near future, when, according to the writer, Russia invades Norway to ensure uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products to other countries.

The French division of Zodiak Media television group - GTV - also takes part in the project. The filming is scheduled to start in 2014. A year later, the show will appear on Norwegian TV channel NRK and Franco-German television channel Arte.
