ALROSA to Open Offices in America and Asia

Russia's diamond giant ALROSA is going to open offices in America, Asia, and in particular, India, deputy director of the company's analytical center Anatoly Bokhan told an RBC correspondent at the fifth international symposium "The development of the raw and faceted diamond market".

At the same time, the ALROSA official noted the company would not be able to enter the international market on its own, as ALROSA has no sales network. Meanwhile, ALROSA has no problems in regard to diamond production. It is going to increase the annual production volume of raw diamonds to $2bn by 2005.
