Russia marks Earth Day with Bells of Peace

On Monday, April 22, under the auspices of the United Nations, an ecological action - the International Day of Mother Earth - will be held in a number of countries.

By tradition, in the northern hemisphere of the planet, the Day of the Earth is celebrated in spring, and in the southern hemisphere - in the fall. The main goal of this global campaign is to attract people's attention to the Earth and the environment. 

In Russia, the International Earth Day is the day of public organizations that spend the day holding various environmental events and activities. On April 22^nd, the "Bell of Peace" will toll in all cities of the country, calling on the people of the world to unite to protect the planet from wars.

Public events, concerts and other activities to celebrate the Earth Day, will take place in more than 20 cities of Russia. In addition to recreational activities, everyone will be able to take part in the beautification and landscaping of streets.
