Iran tests surface-to-sea ballistic missile

Iran's armed forces successfully tested a surface-to-sea ballistic missile in the waters of the Persian Gulf, Iranian defense official said.

"The surface-to-sea missile and its launch were conducted exclusively by the forces of Ministry of Defense," the official said.

The launch time and the missile range have not been specified. However, according to the official, all foreign ships in the Persian Gulf had left the Iranian territorial waters for the time of the test in advance.
