Iran declines access to military officers to Parchin army base

Officials with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that the next round of talks over Iran's nuclear program had not brought any results. The IAEA said that Iranian officials refused to provide access to Parchin military site to IAEA experts.

At the same time, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Agency, Fereydoon Abbasi said Wednesday that intelligence services could misinform the UN about the Parchin army base.

"Parchin is not a nuclear site, I have said that many times. There is a strong lack of understanding regarding the matter, and we are negotiating with the IAEA to clarify this issue," said Abbasi

The official requested additional documents, adding that "should the intelligence data provided to the IAEA, in fact, exist, then they should be shown to us."

This is not the first time when Iran refuses to provide access to the Parchin army base.
