Russian and Armenian governments conclude package of agreements on cooperation in different spheres

A package of Russian-Armenian intergovernmental agreements on cooperation was signed in Yerevan on Tuesday within the official visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov to Armenia. An agreement on mutual protection of secret information was concluded between the government of Armenia and the government of Russia on the basis of the results of the talks held in Yerevan. The document was signed by the representatives of the Ministry of National Security of Armenia and of the Federal Security Service of Russia.

The Ministries of Natural Resources of Russia and Armenia concluded agreements on cooperation in the sphere of use of subsoil and water resources.

The co-chairmen of the Russian-Armenian intergovernment commission - Minister of Industry and Science Ilya Klebanov and Defence Minister of Armenia Serzh Sarkisyan - signed a protocol on making changes in the agreement between the governments of Russia and Armenia on the procedure for transfer of federal property of Armenia to pay the debt on the state credits extended to Armenia by Russia.

As Mikhail Kasyanov explained to journalists, this document is of a technical character and extends the term of the agreement for several months for completing the procedures for transfer of the Armenian enterprises to Russia. The protocols on the transfer of five Armenian enterprises into Russia's ownership as payment of the debt were also signed.
