Georgia arrests Russian ship

The Coast Guard of the Border Police of Georgia detained Russian vessel Ruby  on the outer harbor of the port of Poti port. The vessel was traveling under the Russian flag. Now the owners will have to pay a heavy fine.

According to Georgian officials, the vessel was detained "because there was a boat lowered from the vessel without permission." For such violations the Georgian law stipulates the fine of 50,000 lari ($30,000), Vesti.ru reports.

The Ruby is now staying at the port of Poti. The captain and the crew were not arrested - they have the right to go out to the city, The Voice of Russia said.
