Arab League acknowledges UN Security Council's resolution on Iraq as legitimate

The League of Arab States acknowledges the UN Security Council's resolution on Iraq as legitimate.

The decision made by the UN Security Council is weighty enough, though it puts Iraq in rather a complicated condition, by no means lowering tensity in relations between Baghdad and Washington, Hisham Yusef, an aide to the Arab League's Secretary General for cooperation with mass media, told journalists.

The Iraq issue, along with the Palestinian one, will be prominent on the agenda of an ad hoc meeting of Arab states' ministers, which will be held in the Egyptian capital on November 10th.
