Joseph Biden raises many eyebrows in USA. 46296.jpegThe Taliban is no longer an enemy of the US administration, US Vice President Joseph Biden stated.

Biden, in particular, said: "Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That's critical," Biden said in the interview published at the end of December 2011. "There is not a single statement that the President has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy, because it threatens US interests," said Biden.

Biden also said in an interview with Newsweek said that the Taliban was not posing a threat to the United States as long as it was not helping Al-Qaeda, the BBC said. These words raised many eyebrows in the USA, because it is the Talibs that US servicemen have been fighting with during the recent ten years.

However, Afghan President Hamid Karzai liked Biden's remarks. He said that he was pleased with the statement. According to Karzai's Biden's statement about the Taliban was supposed to bring peace and stability to the Afghan nation.
