Rumors about Hosni Mubarak's death continue to emerge. 45698.jpegThe rumors about the death of Egypt's toppled President Hosni Mubarak, who stays at the hospital on the outskirts of Cairo, continue to emerge in the media.

Al Ahram website said on Monday that Mubarak's heart stopped beating. Later during the day, though, the publication reported with reference to medical sources that the rumor was not true to fact.

Previously, the website said that the former Egyptian president had had a cardiac arrest. The message actually meant that Mubarak was dead. The news about the cardiac arrested appeared on Sunday, but was subsequently rebutted.

Medics said that Mubarak was alive. The ex-president still stays at the International Clinical Center near Cairo. His health condition has not suffered any critical changes.

It was also reported that the heart of the former Egyptian president started aching when he learned about the death of Muammar Gaddafi, who was his old-time friend. Mubarak reportedly burst into tears, when he saw the photos of the killed Libyan leader. Doctors had to calm the 83-year-old Mubarak with strong sedatives.

Hosni Mubarak was forced to step down on February 11, 2011 against the background of national riots, the economic decline and the collapse in the security system.
