Japan's Mount Shinmoe spews more lava, smoke and ash

43245.jpegJapan's Mount Shinmoe erupted again on Wednesday, spewing more lava, smoke and ash through the area, the country's meteorological agency said.

The volcano erupted twice on Wednesday, at 5:25 a.m. and 10:47 a.m., Japan's Meteorological Agency said.
Since January 26 when it broke its decades-long slumber, the volcano has erupted seven times, the agency said, according to CNN.

The meteorological agency will inspect the areas scattered with volcanic debris on Wednesday from the air, it said.

The agency had warned that volcanic debris could fall on areas within 4 kilometers of the crater. The local observatory said an infrasonic meter located about 3 km southwest of the crater had recorded air pressure disturbance, measuring 299.6 pascals, Zee News reports.
