A Dutch boy who is the sole survivor of a plane crash at Tripoli airport in Libya that killed 103 people is said to be in a stable condition after surgery.

He has undergone several rounds of surgery to both legs which are factured in several places. The boy's full identity has not yet been officially confirmed, BBC News says.

A local Dutch newspaper has reported the survivor appeared to be 9-year-old Ruben van Assouw from the city of Tilburg.

The Dutch Foreign Ministry says the boy has identified himself as a 9-year-old from Tilburg named Reuben, but it hasn't published a last name, Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
