A Defense Department analyst and several Chinese nationals were detained Monday by the FBI on suspicion of selling U.S. data intended for Taiwan to the Chinese government in Beijing.
The detained are Gregg William Bergersen, 51, of Alexandria, Tai Shen Kuo, a Taiwan-born U.S. citizen, 58, and Yu Xin Kang, a Chinese national, 33, both of New Orleans.
Prosecutors in Los Angeles would charge another Chinese national who worked for a technology company until 2006 with selling sensitive military data to the Chinese government.
These spy networks posed a grave danger to US security, but was traced down and demolished in time.
