Weather, age or other reasons supposedly have played a malicious trick on San Francisco. A water main broke in the Mission District that caused the disturbance of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency normal service.
The break took place at the intersection of Valencia and 26th streets at about 4 a.m. The cause of the break is still unknown. Weather, the age of the main (80-year-old main) or even construction error make up the list of possible causes.
To avoid any disturbance the lines 26, 27 and 67 were rerouted and finally set working.
The authorities reopened Northbound Valencia Street at 7:15 a.m. But still some part of Southbound Valencia from 25th Street to Cesar Chavez is closed. It will be closed until this afternoon.
