An international team of young explorers, with explorer Will Steger at the head, will start an expedition to the Canadian Arctic to explore signs of global warming early next year.
He will lead a team of six explorers, ages 21 to 28, from Norway, Great Britain, Canada and the United States who will try to document retreating glaciers and other apparent signs of global warming.
Steger said he hopes the expedition will inspire young people to work against global warming.
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty has said he may meet up with Steger's expedition to see firsthand what is happening in the Arctic region.
