Missile boats hold gunnery drills in Crimea

Ships and boats of the Black Sea fleet as Samum, Mirazh and R-239 have carried out missile-firing exercise near Crimea. Surface and aerial shooting has been worked out.

According to a plan of combat readiness, crews of the missile ships and boats of the Crimean Naval Base have proved their readiness to implement tasks at sea with a single vessel. Staying on an unsafe roadstead has been already exercised as well as air defence. The missile boats have fired with surface-to-air missile systems and artillery complexes against air targets.

The Su-24M all-weather attack aircraft and the Be-12 amphibious aircraft designed for anti-submarine duties have also taken part in the drills.

As Pravda.Ru reported, large-scale military drills were started in Crimea on 20 March. More than 2,500 people and 600 units of equipment have been engaged.
