Syrian refugees do not want to go to Russia

Russia is ready to accept refugees from Syria, but they do not want to go to Russia, the head of the Federal Migration Service, Konstantin Romodanovsky said. Historically, for immigrants from Syria, Europe is more acceptable than the Russian Federation, the official said. However, those who want to stay in Russia, may count for assistance from the Federal Migration Service.

As for the security of the country, the official believes that the flows of refugees from Syria and Libya will not affect Russia. "The logistics works in a way that it does not affect our country. Refugees go to Turkey, Macedonia, Hungary, Serbia, and the second flow of them goes via Italy," the official said.
