Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense will stand for $75,000 (52,000 EUR), Hard Spun for $50,000 (35,000 EUR).

Street Sense closed out his career with a disappointing fourth-place finish in the $5 million (3.5 million EUR) Breeders' Cup at Monmouth Park on Saturday, with Hard Spun finishing second behind Curlin.

Street Sense, last year's 2-year-old champion, won six of 13 races and earned $4.38 million (3 million EUR) for owner James Tafel. The 3-year-old colt finished no worse than third in all but one race - the Classic.

Hard Spun ran in all the U.S. Triple Crown races, finishing second in the Derby, third in the Preakness and fourth in the Belmont Stakes. The colt won seven of 13 races, including the Grade 1 King's Bishop, and beat Street Sense in the Kentucky Cup Classic. He earned $2.67 million (1.85 million EUR) for Rick Porter's Fox Hill Farms.

Darley, owned by Dubai's Sheik Mohammed, also retired 4-year-old Discreet Cat, who finished third in last Friday's Breeders' Cup Mile. Discreet Cat won the Cigar Mile last year. Discreet Cat will stand at Darley's farm near Lexington for $30,000 (21,000 EUR).

"Sheik Mohammed's long-term aim is to stand the best stallions in the world, and he's acutely aware that great sires emerge from a flourishing breeding industry," said John Ferguson, Sheik Mohammed's bloodstock advisor, in a release on Tuesday. "The Darley prices are pitched at a level which gives breeders with quality mares an excellent chance to produce quality horses from reasonable fees."
