David Beckham won't be returning to play in Europe on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy after the Major League Soccer season ends in November.
"He is coming to the Los Angeles Galaxy and we don't anticipate him going anywhere but the Los Angeles Galaxy for the foreseeable future," general manager Alexi Lalas told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
There had been suggestions the English star could return to Europe on loan to one of the leading clubs.
Beckham agreed to terms of a five-year contract with the Galaxy last winter. He will be paid a base salary of $5.5 million (euro4.1 million) per year.
Beckham's contract with Real Madrid ends on June 30, and he is expected to take a short holiday before joining the Galaxy. But he also has been recalled to England for two internationals in early June.
