New Zealand wins last berth for women's 2007 World Cup

After winning the preliminary competition at Papua New Guinea New Zealand claimed the 16th and final berth for the 2007 Women's World Cup.

The women's World Cup will run from Sept. 10-30 in the Chinese cities of Chengdu, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin and Wuhan.

The draw for the group stage will be held April 22 at Wuhan. Host China will occupy position 1 in Group D, while reigning world champion Germany will occupy the top place in Group A.

No group may contain more than one team from the same confederation except the European confederation, which can have a maximum of two teams in the same group.
