The police of Moscow detained about 70 football fans after the match between Spartak (Moscow) and Anzhi (Makhachkala), which took place on Sunday at Luzhniki stadium. Most of the detainees were young people who were in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

The match of the 26th round of Spartak-Anzhi ended with the score 2:0. Goals were scored by Kim Källström and Dmitry Kombarov. Thus, the advantage of the Makhachkala club over Spartak (that comes fourth) was reduced to three points.

According to official reports, 19,000 spectators attended the match. As many as 1,300 of them came from Makhachkala. Security at the match was provided by 2,000 police officers, including 280 Special Forces men and 1,000 Interior Ministry troops.
