John Terry of England's Chelsea Returns to Training after Injury Scare

Chelsea and England defender John Terry has returned to training and should play in Saturday's FA Cup final against Portsmouth after an injury scare.

An injury to his right foot in training on Wednesday briefly raised fears over Terry's participation in the World Cup. But a scan revealed no metatarsal break and the Blues skipper, 29, has resumed work at Chelsea's Cobham base, BBC Sport says.

Terry admitted he was concerned the problem could have affected his participation in this summer's World Cup final in South Africa.

He said: "It was sorted out in a couple of hours but I was a bit scared, I must say. Once I had the scan I didn't wear the boot, it's just protection really. The doctor advised me to keep it on. But once I got the scan results I was back in my normal trainer.", Telegraph reports.
