Medvedenko out six weeks with herniated disc

Ukrainian forward Slava Medvedenko of the Los Angeles Lakers will miss about six weeks after being diagnosed with a herniated disc.

Medvedenko injured his back in a National Basketball Association game at Minnesota on Nov. 9.

He has played in two games, averaging 1.0 points and 0.5 rebounds, AP reports.
