Slovakia will try to capitalize on Sibamac Arena for its Davis Cup final against Croatia

Slovakia will try to capitalize on the home-court advantage of Sibamac Arena for a fourth time, using the National Tennis Center in Bratislava for its Davis Cup final against Croatia.

The 4,000-capacity stadium, site of Slovakia's 4-1 victories over defending champion Spain in the first round, the Netherlands in the quarterfinals and Argentina in the semifinals, was given approval for the Dec. 2-4 championship tie by the International Tennis Federation on Tuesday.

The match will be played on a hard court, same as the matches against Spain, Netherlands and Argentina.

The tie will be the 12-year-old Slovakia's first Davis Cup final, having never advanced past the quarterfinals until this year. Croatia, competing in its 13th year the men's tennis' premier team competition, also will be playing in its first final and the first time against Slovakia, reported AP.
