Men control fertility unconsciously

Scientists from the Institute of Applied Psychology in Lisbon arrived at the conclusion that men's desire to become a father increases the level of testosterone (male hormone), thus increasing the chances of conception.

Director of the research team Catherine Hirschenhauzer stated in her interview to the "New Scientist" magazine that the opposite holds true. Namely, some couples have troubles conceiving when unconsciously husbands do not really wish to have children.

According to previous research conducted by the same team of researchers, married men, especially those with children, have a much lower level of testosterone than single men.
