An elderly man was heaped up with garbage in his own apartment in the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. The man feared lest his neighbors should take the apartment away from him, that is why he thought that they would not have such a desire, if he turned his flat into a dump.
The press service of the Ukrainian emergency ministry department in Kharkov said the incident occurred when the man brought another big bag of garbage into his apartment, which had already been filled with waste products.
As a result, a pile of garbage heaped the man up from top to toe. He stayed under the rubbish for a week, until his neighbors heard him moaning. They called a rescue squad to unlock the door of the apartment. Rescuers opened the door and took the man out of the apartment filled with garbage up to the ceiling.
