Swedish Man Empties Parking Meters with Vacuum Cleaner

The Swedish police arrested Mikael Persson in the city of Gothenburg. This 44-year-old man found a very unusual way to steal money. He was arrested for stealing coins from parking meters with the help of a vacuum cleaner.

To all appearances, Mr. Persson stole parking meter keys, turned a vacuum cleaner on and started sucking coins out. No wonder, a man with a vacuum cleaner standing beside a parking meter attracted attention of local police officers.

Prior to his arrest, the man stole all coins from one parking meter and was about to empty another one. Police officers found 2220 Swedish crowns ($260) in his pockets. Persson pleaded guilty, a court will bring down a sentence on him soon.
