No Cases of Atypical Pneumonia Registered in Russia - 1 April, 2003

No cases of atypical pneumonia have been registered in Russia, the Russian Health Care Ministry reported. Nevertheless, according to Russian Health Minister Yuri Shevchenko, a special committee to follow the situation has been set up. The committee works daily and monitors all changes of the starting epidemic of atypical pneumonia in the world.

The Minister stressed that all medical services of Russia are on high alert. The situation in Russia is controlled at all levels including medical rooms in Russian airports.
