Chechen terrorist, extradited to Russia by Georgia, testifies to Moscow investigators

Chechen terrorist Adam Dekkushev, who was arrested in Georgia the other day, has been extradited to Moscow and is giving testimony to investigators, the Russian Federal Security Service announced. Dekkushev is suspected of arranging and perpetrating the explosions of blocks of flats in Moscow and Russia's southern city of Volgodonsk in September, 1999, killing over a hundred people as a result.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office information, the terrorist was a member of a sabotage group, which acted on the orders of Khattab, the Arab notorious mercenary. Dekkushev, who is on the federal and international wanted list, took shelter in the Pankisi Gorge, a Georgian district, bordering on Chechnya. On July 14th, on Moscow's repeated demands he was arrested on Georgian territory and extradited to Russia.
