White Night Swing International Jazz Festival to Be Held in St. Petersburg, July 12 - 14

The White Night Swing international jazz festival will be held at St. Petersburg's Jazz Philharmonic Hall, July 12 through 14. The stage events will be held at the philharmonic centre, the Mikhailovsky Garden, and elsewhere around the city.

According to the St. Petersburg Cultural Committee, the participants include the outstanding US piano player Monti Alexander; Billy Tailor, the living legend of American jazz; Anti Sarpila, the Finnish clarinet star; the Swedish Swing Society group; singers Fionna Duncan from Scotland, Marvin Charles from Norway, and Evelin White from the US; The Stars of New York band; the Big Band of radio of Denmark, the German Luber Blues quartet, and many others, including the leading jazzmen of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Samara, etc.

The White Night Swing international jazz festival is among the most significant events in the cultural life of St. Petersburg. It was the reason the St. Petersburg Jazz Philharmonic Hall joined World's the most prestigious concert halls. The festival has been regularly held in Russia's Northern Capital since 1994, its artistic director David Goloshchyokin.
