Croat detained in Moscow on fraud suspicion

A citizen of Croatia has been detained in Moscow on suspicion of fraud. A spokesman for Moscow's Interior Department reports that the Croat was detained in the Sedmoi Continent supermarket. The foreigner took merchandise worth a total 2,500 roubles (about $80, on current rates) and attempted to pay for his purchase with a fake Eurocard credit card, allegedly issued by the US-based Citybank. Moscow law-enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the case.
