Fifth Vaganova-Prix International Ballet Competition to Be Held in St. Petersburg, June 19 through 26

The fifth Vaganova-Prix international ballet competition will be held at the Museum of the Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, from June 19 through 26. Its participants will be ballet school senior year students from Russia, namely Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Krasnoyarsk, Kazan, Saratov, and Ufa, and also from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Estonia, Brazil, Hungary, Italy, Poland, the US, South Korea, and Japan.

Initially, this was a competition between the students of ballet schools from all over the USSR, which became international in 1995. The competition promotes the development of professional choreographic education in Russia and throughout the world.
