President of International Olympic Committee to Arrive in Moscow Today

The President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Jaques Rogge, will arrive in Moscow this afternoon. As Rosbalt was informed on Thursday, he will be taking part in the opening of the International Youth Games of the CIS, the Baltic countries, and regions of Russia.

The president of the IOC will be in Russia until June 16. On Saturday evening, Jaques Rogge will attend the opening ceremony of the games at Luzhniki Stadium, as well as a number of sport venues in the capital, where youth sporting competitions will be taking place. A meeting is also planned between the President of the IOC and President Putin.

The International Youth Games of the CIS, the Baltic countries, and regions of Russia will take place in Russia between June 15 and 24. Around 6000 competitors will take compete in 17 different events.
