Vladimir Putin has said that physical exercises help him keep fit. When a staff member of the Bakulev Cardiovascular Research Centre asked how the president managed to keep such a good form, the head of state said he did nothing special for fitness.

Putin remarked he spent an hour and a half every day on physical exercises and on swimming.
