Second round of violinists at Tchaikovsky International Contest

The jury of the 12th International Tchaikovsky Contest, headed by Vladimir Spivakov, took a decision that 22 violinists, including 7 Russians, will compete in the second round of the contest.

All in all, 52 violinists from 19 countries, including 11 Russians, participated in the first round.

According to the regulations, 8 violinists will take part in the final.
