The Rosoboronexport will take part in the International Exhibition of Police Equipment in Beijing

The Rosoboronexport concern will take part in the First International Exhibition of Police Equipment - China Police-2002. It will be opened in Beijing on Tuesday and is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Security of the People's Republic of China.

As the press service of the Rosoboronexport reported, the exhibition will display the products of more than ten Russian enterprises which produce weapons, military hardware, special equipment and other things for ensuring security.

Up to the recent time many types of special equipment, reported the same sources, belonged to a classified category and could not be exhibited. A number of exhibits do not have analogues in the world, Russia will show criminal equipment, non-lethal means for neutralising the violators, audio and video observation systems, means of operational communication, of individual defence and of traffic control, night sight systems, means for protecting the state border and especially important facilities, systems for frontier check-points and also radio control systems.

In the past few years the Rosoboronexport has been paying great attention to collaboration with secret services and law enforcement bodies of foreign states in such a specific sphere as military-technological cooperation and deliveries of special technological means and special equipment, said the source at the Rosoboronexport.

Among the other participants in the exhibition are the United States, Great Britain, Japan, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, South Korea, Belarus, Finland and so on.
