Schools for children with deviant behaviour to be opened in Moscow

It is planned to open in the new school year special secondary schools in Moscow for children and teen-agers with a deviant, socially dangerous behaviour. Apart from a traditional education course, these schools will provide psychological, medical and social rehabilitation.

In the 2002-2003 school year, twelve new secondary schools will be opened in Moscow, says a draft resolution of the Moscow administration on the preparation of the educational sphere for the new school year. The document will be discussed at a session of the Moscow government on Tuesday.

It is also planned to open a boarding school for gifted children and a Centre for Urgent Psychological Aid for children and their parents.
