Football: England fans abstain from sex
England fans are abstaining from sex so as to give their team a better chance of winning. This telepathic, altruistic approach is supposed to give the fans’ heroes added strength in their footballing exploits. According to the results of a research campaign carried out by a sportswear company, over a third of England football fans are abstaining from sex the night before their team’s football matches to give strength to the England football players. The research also revealed that 45% of England fans believe that wearing their country’s shirt will help the team towards victory.
