A group of skilled doctors has begun treating Border Guards General Vitaly Gamov and his wife, both of whom suffered bad burns on the night of May 21st. According to the press center of the Pacific Regional Department of Russia's Federal Frontier Service, Gamov and his wife are still in bad condition. Both are suffering from severe burns, burns of the upper respiratory tracts and third-degree shock. On the night of May 21st, someone threw three Molotov cocktails into the window of the flat belonging to Major General Vitaly Gamov, the deputy head of the Pacific Regional Department of the Federal Frontier Service and the head of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk Territorial Department. The top brass think the attack was somehow connected with the general's work, which involved some harsh measures against sea poachers and smugglers. The Federal Security Service and police are trying to track down the people who masterminded and committed the crime.
