Russian orchestra stripped naked in Britain

Musicians of the Russian orchestra were stripped naked during a concert tour about Great Britain. Fleas detected in the hotel where the musicians lived became the reason for the action. 105 orchestra members were on their way to a concert when police and public health officials stopped buses with the musicians. Then people were taken to a gym’s cloakroom and asked to undress. Their clothes were further disinfected.

Britain’s Daily Mirror reports, concert of the orchestra in Nottingham started 45 minutes late because of the incident.

Head of the entertainment department Michael Williams commented on the incident: “We sympathize with the Russian musicians who experienced this rather unpleasant procedure.”

The symphony orchestra of Russia’s St.Petersburg stopped at one of hotels in Hertfortshire. Hotel workers gave an alarm when they detected fleas in the rooms occupied by orchestra members and called the epidemiological department. A spokesman for the Nottingham public health service says: “No fleas were detected in the buses, but we had to disinfect for better precaution.” None of the orchestra members commented on the actions of the British authorities, but it is perfectly clear the people got insulted.
