Danish squad chosen for world cup

Danish team manager Morten Olsen has chosen his 23-man squad for the 2002 world cup finals in Korea/Japan.

All the players are in good physical condition for the first game against Uruguay, on 1st June. Denmark’s other opponents in Group A will be France and Senegal. Team and clubs, Denmark unless otherwise stated: Goal-keepers: Thomas Sorensen (Sunderland/England), Peter Kjaer (Aberdeen/Scotland) and Jesper Christiansen (Vejle)

Midfield players: Thomas Gravesen (Everton/England), Claus Jensen (Charlton Athletic/England), Brian Steen Nielsen (Malmo FF/Sweden), Christian Poulsen (Copenhagen) and Stig Tofting (Bolton Wanderers/England)
