The leadership of the Japanese Marine Security Department has thanked Russian frontier guards as they rapidly decided to open the frontier to evacuate a sick Japanese man from a Panamanian vessel. The press center of the Pacific Ocean Regional Department of the Russian Federal Frontier Service reported to RIA Novosti that the leadership of the first sector of the Japanese Marine Security Department turned to the Russian Frontier guards on May 7th to open the frontier to evacuate a sick Japanese from a Panamanian vessel. At that time Panama's vessel Nordkupp was in the Russian exclusive economic zone near South Kurils. A Japanese patrol motor boat, Tsugaru, with a helicopter on board went to meet the vessel. The leadership of the Pacific Department of the Russian Federal Frontier Service rapidly decided to open the air frontier for the Japanese helicopter. On Wednesday the Japanese helicopter took the sick man and returned to the Tsugaru patrol boat that is now heading for the Japanese port of Kusira.
