Football: Ro-Ro back on track

The possibility of Ronaldo and Romario lining up in Brazil’s attack is again a serious prospect, after team coach Scolari had sidelined the latter, favouring instead Ronaldinho Gaucho.

Romario can continue to dream of a place in his national team, after Luis Filipe Scolari (Filipao) declared recently that he has “just one doubt” about the final selection of the 23 players for the “Escrete”, Brazil’s national squad.

35-year-old Romario helped Brazil to its fourth, and last, title in 1994 but was dropped by Filipao, who considered that he did not fit into the tactical framework of the team he was creating.
