Kidney transplanted to a cat

A unique operation has been carried out in vet hospital: a kidney was grafted to a cat. The donor was the cat’s mother. The operation of the kind could be successful, if a close relative is used as a donor. The cat’s owners were lucky: they managed to find a good donor for the operation - the cat’s mother. According to the doctors, transplants are compatible with each other, so the kidney settles down. After the rehabilitation time, the cat will be able to carry out a normal life.
