Premier of Russia: improvements are visible in Russian sport

"Little but still improvements", specifically in top-flight sport, have become visible in Russian sport of late, head of the Russian government Mikhail Kasyanov believes. He stated this on Tuesday presenting a new head of the State Committee on Sport, Vyacheslav Fetisov, to its staffers. President Vladimir Putin appointed the famed ice-hockey player to this post yesterday. Vyacheslav Fetisov is a many-time champion of Russia, the world and the Olympic Games in ice hockey. The head of the Russian government expressed hope that Fetisov would be a good organiser of sport in the Russian Federation. The Premier promised that the government would pay great attention to the work of the State Committee on Sport and turn an attentive ear to its requests and ideas.
