Russian-Gapanese motor driving race Russian Rally-2002

The annual Russian-Japanese motor driving race Russian Rally-2002 started in Nakhodka (a city-port on the western coast of the Sea of Japan which administratively forms part of the Maritime Territory), the press centre of the Nakhodka administration said. On Tuesday the Japanese and Russian auto race drivers set out on the route Nakhodka - Ussuriisk (200 kilometres north-west of Nakhodka on the Ussuri river) - Nakhodka. On May 2nd-3rd the rally will pass by the route Nakhodka - Preobrazheniye (a port town 100 kilometres east of Nakhodka) - Nakhodka. On the last day of the race, May 4th, the route of the Russian Rally will go through Nakhodka's outskirts. The total stretch of all the stages will exceed 2,000 kilometres.
