All Russian Fleets Will Undertake Long Cruises In Years 2001-2002

All fleets of the Russian Navy, namely, the Northern, Pacific, Baltic, and Black-Sea fleets, will undertake long-range cruises this and next year. This statement was made before journalists by Admiral Vladimir Kuroyedov, commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, reports the RIA Novosti correspondent. He called long-range cruises of Russian warships "usual sea exercises". Admiral Kuroyedov also said that "in the immediate future a diesel-engine submarine of the Northern fleet will visit Great Britain to take part in celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the British submarine forces".
