Yelena Likhovtseva from Moscow, having beaten Paola Suares from Argentina 6-0,7-5, was qualified for the quarter-finals of the tennis tournament in Charlston (South Carolina state, USA). Number five on the world rating list American Jennifer Capriati will be her next opponent. Suares was already the second tennis player eliminated by Likhovtseva from the tourney.
